What is time scale in this project? Buildings and constructions made of concrete lasts a hundred years and ones built up with bricks even longer. Building phase takes it time, several years, but either these don’t answer the question how long time should be considered in design.

Minimum time to consider is the length of the construction phase, maybe ten years and the maximum maybe the use age of the buildings, about hundred years. During the hundred years generation is changed and influenced by the place they are living in. Future is unknown and even the most sophisticated guess (researches) cannot see beyond many decades and this project is not a future study.

Should project set a question: how does society look like after fifty years? Is the time of the information society passed, what would be the next phase? How to prepare for it or nurture to it?

Common agreement is about society being as much sustainable as it can be with resources there is. We do not have a technology to design endless circulation of raw materials to maintain current consume based economy. On growth of that economyour way of living is based on. Some compromises must be made to maintain that is seen valuable.

- To what direction is the place design by us bringing up community and people living in it and is it influencing in positive way?

o Greener way of living meaning closer to nature. Helping to people to understand circulation of resources in nature. § Is it the plan based by values of ours (meaning western/Finnish perspective) or theirs and or other shareholders?

o Troijan horse project brought up some problems that will be considered. Other shareholders interests are not inspected.

- There are problem with arsenic that probably cannot be solved with resources that are available. Is waiting for the sustainable solution sustainable or should everything to be done to remove toxic land immediately?

o Hazardous waste land must be placed in somewhere anyway. Taking the land away would be like with our garbage, hidden for our eyes and forgotten.

- Is there a business opportunities to be found to nourish local economic growth after building process?

o New resource available in the area is clean water. If the process is carry out by local businesses the know-how from the project is the one resource in the area. How to prevent know-how to not flee to international corporations?

o Is there enough know-how to succeed in Taiwan now?

- How is process and solutions will be valued? Who is a main critic? Which are main indicators of success?
